Summer's Delight

As the golden sun shines down

Insects with wings dance all around

Wafting in the gentle summer breeze

A tall proud oak shows off its leaves

Off in the distance, lovely clouds did billow

So soft and fluffy, like a cool gentle pillow

The birds did chirp, and a rabbit did scurry

It seems as though he was in a hurry

The angry sun started shining down

Enveloping everyone with his angry frown

The sun was so hot, beating everyone with its fury

Everyone was melting, vision getting blurry

It was the middle of July, and so brutally boiling

If you left any food out, it would surely be spoiling

Anything that was in contact became quickly burned

Autumn was around the corner, and something many yearned

He was out for vengeance, the furious sun didn't care

The fiery skies blazed with a relentless glare

He burned nearly everything in sight

Until he had his summer's delight

Across the lands, his wrath did spread

Turning the fields into brown and red

All the inhabitants sought refuge in shade

From the bitter sun's ruthless crusade

But as dusk fell and cool air embraced

he sun's fiery fury had finally found grace

And so ends our tale of the angry sun

Which reminds us that each day, our battles can be won
